Eagle Grange plans movie night, PA Dutch potluck

The audience of more than 50 persons enjoyed a slide program and narrative illustrating the wide range of educational, service and leadership development activities in which the FFA chapter participated during the past year. The Grange annually partners with the local FFA on several service projects and sponsors three Blue Jackets presented tor first year FFA students.
“The public is cordially invited to beat the winter blues at two special events sponsored by Eagle Grange No. 1 as the calendar turns to the month of March,” a news release from the organization said.
Both will take place in the historic Grange Hall, 32 East Blind Road, Montgomery.
A free Family Move Night featuring the Disney movie “Wish” begins at 6 p.m., March 1, with check-in and snacks. Due to available space, advance registration is required and attendance will be limited to the first 50 reservations received; to reserve, contact Jenn Nauss at jnauss89@gmail.com or 717-512-1261.
“Seating is available but attendees may bring their own blankets, pillows or comfy chairs,” the news release said.
Celebrate Shrove Tuesday/Fasnacht Day with Eagle Grange at a free PA Dutch potluck dinner and program at 6 p.m., March 4. The fellowship meal begins at 6 p.m. with the Grange providing meat, place settings and beverages; attendees are asked to bring a traditional PA Dutch themed casserole, salad or dessert to share. Costumed Amish guest Katy King will discuss traditional Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, food preservation, gardening, butchering and animal husbandry.
