Footsteps to Follow: I trust God!

In this life, so many things go up and down. Then I read Psalm 27:1-3: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident” (NKJV). Let God know that you need strength, so you have no fear. Why walk around afraid? The wicked try to get our flesh, but our foes and our enemies are going to fall. No matter what, my heart will not fear. Psalm 119:42 tells us: “So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me, For I trust in Your word. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name.” This verse lets us know that we can trust in God’s name.

Psalm 119:42 tells me to “trust in Your Word.” The more Word I get in me (or get in you) the better. Matthew 12:17-21 states, “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles. He will not quarrel nor cry out, Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory; And in His name Gentiles will trust.'”

May it come true! The Spirit will come upon us Gentiles, if we just trust God!

As we put the Word in from Psalms, it will come true for us. Psalm 22:4-5 tells us: “Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.” It is so important to get deliverance that we need. Maybe Psalm 32:10 will come around us, and mercy will come to us. This Psalm reassures us that “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him.”

We should see this for the provision that is needed. Then we have to be more committed. Psalm 37:3, 5 tells us “Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.” As we show our trust in God, it will come to pass. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” These verses can be used as a guide, so we can get the understanding we need. As Psalm 37:28 tells us: “For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.” We can be more useful. This way we can get closer to the Work as we trust in our God.

Can you see God’s goodness and how great it is in your life? Jesus is preparing those of us who trust in God by upholding our spirits.

We need to open all our gates: our eyes, our ears, and our mouth. Then we can show that our peace can keep our mind on track with God and stay on the trust in God.

I was waiting for my roof to get fixed. My deacon looked online for our mail to see what was coming this day. It was a letter from the people who were supposed to fix my roof. So I said to my deacon that the roofers were not going to do it, and that is what the letter said. They changed their mind. Then I said, “I Trust God!”.

They changed their mind because I do church in my house. But I told the deacon that was God showing me to trust Him. I am not going to get upset. That day I saw how to trust God.

So many times through the Bible, people show us how to trust God. How about Job, David, the three Hebrew boys, and you can’t forget Abraham and others. Some think that all this is not true, but the truth of God is right there if we pay attention. These things are real. It can happen because so much happens in this world so that we can believe. All God wants from us is to trust Him. Test Him, and see if He is real. You have to have belief. If you believe by trusting God, then God is waiting for you!
