Nancy E. Springman

Nancy E. Springman, 82, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Valley View Nursing Center with her family by her side.
Born in Muncy on Dec. 10, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Arwood C. Snyder and the late Geraldine “Gerry” (Fox) Snyder. Nancy married Ronald E. Springman on Sept. 10, 1960, and they shared 64 wonderful years together.
Nancy was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, “The White Church.” She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and especially loved spending time with her family.
She enjoyed, knitting, crafts and decorating her home for all holidays and all seasons.
She had a special passion and talent for sewing and for a few years, worked at a bridal shop doing alterations, and for a local designer sewing garments out of silk materials.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Bonnie K. (Thomas) Waclawski, of Montoursville, Karen L. (Shanon) Dugan, of York; granddaughters, Amanda Garvey, Kaitlyn Waclawski, Danielle Rosenkrans, Megan Dugan; great-grandchildren, Lauren Garvey, Madilyn Garvey, Elliana Garvey; sisters, Gail (Mike) Stevenson, of Littleton, Colo., Debra (Carl) Lund, of East Amherst, N.Y.; brother, Keith (Elaine) Snyder, of Lititz.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with Rev. Beverly Cotner officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
