Trespassing, assault among charges lodged in district courts
Two locked up on felony charges
Joshua Kemp, 41, and Kelsey Michelle Folmar, 34, both of 502 Park Ave., were jailed on Muncy police felony charges of trespassing and conspiracy after they illegally entered the home of a female acquaintance at 23 S. Main St. in Muncy about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, borough police alleged in court papers. Although they had recently stayed with the resident of the home, Marissa Floyd, the two did not have Floyd’s permission to enter the property while she was on an errand, police said. Upon returning from the errand, Floyd “noticed that there were people in her residence and called 911,” police were told. Kemp, who faces additional charges of possession of a prohibited offensive weapon (brass knuckles) and possession of drug paraphernalia, told police the couple was there to pick up their belongings that were still in the property, according to an affidavit. Following their arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Kemp and Folmar were committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail each.
Two arrested after bags of “Happy Poison” fentanyl found in home
While conducting a regulatory home visit at the then-residence of Brandon David Hill and Olivia Sharon Ulmer at 59 Gap Road in Washington Township about 2:40 p.m. on Dec. 29, probation officers and state police discovered and seized six bags of fentanyl that were stamped with a skull with letters that read “Happy Poison,” according to an affidavit. Hill, 27, and Ulmer, 20, who are both under the supervision of the county probation office, were arraigned before District Allen P. Page III on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Hill faces an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ulmer, now living at 1131 Mill Hill Road, Cogan Station, and Hill waived their preliminary hearings last week. Although he is free on $5,000 bail on the drug charges, Hill remains jailed on a probation violation while Ulmer, initially jailed, is free on $5,000 bail.
Homeless man faces further court action in assault case
Following a brief preliminary hearing this week before District Judge Christian Frey, Darryl Eugene Beck, a 37-year-old homeless man from Philadelphia, was held for court on city police charges of allegedly terrorizing and sexually assaulting a woman inside a nonprofit organization in the 800 block of West Fourth Street back in mid-April 2021. The victim, who did not know Beck before the alleged assault, was the only one to testify during the hearing. Frey held Beck on charges of indecent assault, terroristic threats, indecent exposure and theft. During the April 12 assault, Beck also stole a ring from the woman, police allege. Beck remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of bail as well as on a bench warrant stemming from another matter.
