Lycoming softball selected fifth in Landmark poll
The Lycoming College softball team was selected seventh in the Landmark Conference Coaches’ Preseason Poll.
Two-time defending conference champion Moravian (64) topped the poll unanimously, followed by Catholic (55), Susquehanna (43), Juniata (40) and Lycoming (29). Drew (29), Wilkes (28), Scranton (16) and Elizabethtown (10) finish the poll.
The Warriors have reached a conference championship final in each of the past two years, falling to Misericordia in the 2023 MAC Freedom Championship and Moravian last year in the Landmark Conference Championship.
Two Warriors return that earned all-conference honors in 2024. Senior Avery Eiswerth, a Williamsport graduate, earned first-team utility honors after hitting .307 with 18 runs, two triples, three homers and 18 RBI and going 9-8 with a 2.89 ERA and striking out 89 in 104 innings pitched.
