Williamsport man faces charges allegedly threatening neighbor

It was just before 4 p.m. on Jan. 27 when city police were dispatched to the 700 block of Sheridan Street to investigate a report of a man threatening to “shoot” his neighbor, according to an affidavit. Brian David McFadden 33, of 704 Sheridan St. allegedly yelled the threat at a woman, who lives next to him, as she was standing on her porch, police said. Earlier in the day, the woman’s boyfriend saw “McFadden holding a firearm to his own head and then pointing it at the woman’s house,” the affidavit stated. McFadden was taken into custody in his backyard, police said, adding that he was “standing next to multiple large bags that were filled with replica firearms that looked incredibly similar to real firearms,” the court document stated. “This is a very repetitive course of conduct for McFadden. Officers have responded to many incidents where he has engaged in alarming and harassing behavior with neighbors,” police said in the affidavit.

Charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct plus scattering rubbish (he tossed a cigarette on the neighbor’s lawn), McFadden waived his preliminary hearing last week before Judge Aaron Biichle and remains incarcerated in lieu of 10,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
