Homeless man charged with threatening violence
After Matthew Schauer told him twice to get off his property near Sixth and Pine streets about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 31, Curtis Catherman began to make threats, city police alleged in an affidavit. “This is now war. I will shoot the (expletive) out of you with my gat,” the 37-year-old homeless man told Schauer, adding he was going to “split his head open,” police alleged in the court document. Catherman was taken into custody at the scene and arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and defiant trespassing. He remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
