Otto Bookstore hosts Kids Festival on Nov 2

The Otto Bookstore is will host the 2024 Autumn Kids Festival from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 2, on West Fourth Street between Pine and Williams Streets.

This family-friendly event will feature local authors, craft vendors, food trucks, and a wide range of activities for toddlers, tweens, and everyone in between.

“Come explore our exciting displays, join in on story time sessions, and enjoy games, craft stations, a bounce house, face painting, and much more,” said John Shableski, Otto manager.

“Plus, our friendly Otto Bookstore staff will be on hand with great titles for all ages. With giveaways, surprises, and a festive Fall atmosphere, this is an event you won’t want to miss,”he added.

“We have some fantastic prizes for our attendees. One is a family trip to Cape Cod, and the other is a family party package from Kaos Fun Zone at Liberty Arena. The prizes will be raffled off at 3pm during the festival.” Attendees must be present to win. Register for a chance to win a raffle prize here.

“We are also encouraging readers of all ages to dress up as their favorite character – whether it’s from Harry Potter or Star Wars; we welcome cosplay from any book, or series. We will be offering prizes for the best costume,” he noted.

The event will also feature at least 15 authors, including John Gallagher, Kevin McCloskey, Amy Chu, EM Klopp. Kevin Coolidge, Jay Hosler, Jamar Nicholas, Maria Scrivan, Chris Ring, David Hicks, Judi Jessick, John S. Gurney, Harold Buchholz, and Shauna J Grant.

The Autumn Kids Festival is the Otto Bookstore’s second street festival of this year, as the Block Party in July drew over 1,000 to downtown Williamsport to enjoy books, games, food, and more.
