As Lycoming County’s premier Continuing Care Retirement Community, we have been providing health care services to the surrounding region since 1872. A volunteer Board of Managers has guided the progress of The Home from its humble beginnings as the Home for the Friendless to our current multifaceted campus. Our dedicated and professional staff are committed to providing quality care and services to the residents we serve.

The Williamsport Home campus provides care and services for more than 300 seniors with varying levels of assistance. Independent Living Apartments provide active seniors with a comfortable, and secure environment. A nutritious daily noon meal, is prepared by our Executive Chef and Dietary team. Each apartment building offers secure entrances, a store to purchase food and personal items, free washing machines and dryers, a library and lounges for visitation and fellowship. Coordinated wellness services are provided at no additional cost, and an outpatient therapy clinic is available in the apartments if needed. Public bus service is available five times a day, Monday through Saturday.

The Williamsport Home offers distinctive levels of care.

License Personal Care services provide peace of mind to families and residents by promoting independence while assisting with daily living tasks such as medication management, three nutritious meals daily, bathing, dressing, and wellness checks. Regularly scheduled wellness and activity programming provide life enrichment services.

Our skilled nursing facility is a Three-star CMS rated Medicare and Medicaid certified facility with Five-Star Quality Measures that offer long term care services when care cannot be managed at home. Coordinated and directed services, such as medical/nursing care, activities, nutritious meals, housekeeping, laundry and restorative services are provided to individuals when community based services are no longer feasible. Specialized Memory Support care is available in a secure dementia unit, which offers a protective environment, and end-of-life suites provide family support and comfort at the most difficult time in life.

Ravine Ridge, our short-term rehabilitation unit, offers a calm serene atmosphere to provide rehabilitation services with the best possible care to get one back on their feet after hospitalization for surgery, an illness or injury. Private rooms offer bathrooms with European style showers and individualized climate control. The unit offers private dining area, private entrances to Rehab Gym, and for families and guests to visit.
