Bids for landfill project range from $1.2 to $4.5 million

The Lycoming County commissioners opened bids this week for the landfill leachate force main at Lycoming County Resource Management Services to the West Branch Treatment Plant Sewer System. Eight bids were received, ranging from $1.2 million to just over $4.5 million.

In other financial matters, the commissioners approved a project modification request to augment a current state Commission on Crime and Delinquency Lycoming County Probation with Restrictive Conditions grant award with an additional $12,987; an agreement with Paula Bower for GED testing services at the county prison in the amount of $7,500; the purchase of eight network security devices from Integra One for use in off-site locations in the amount of $20,889; a subscription service with OnSolve for emergency alert services to be utilized by the Department of Public Safety in the amount of $44,045 for three years; an agreement for preventative maintenance services with McClure Company in the amount of $7,634 annually; an agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP to repair fire alarms in the Lycoming County Courthouse in the amount of $1,461; an agreement for replacement of panic buttons in the Lycoming County Courthouse, as well as the Third Street Plaza with Secure Tech in the amount of $55,330; the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program Grant agreement, which will fund part of the Riverwalk Extension, in the amount of $250,000; the acceptance of a DCNR grant agreement for the River Walk Extension from Maynard Street to Elm Park in the amount of $649,900; an agreement with Larson Design Group for repair services at two county bridges damaged during Tropical Storm Debby in the amount of $8,802; an agreement with PMA Companies in the amount of $471,030 for the Worker’s Compensation Insurance; an agreement with Quality Air Mechanical to upgrade the flow meter at the Water Authority in the amount of $5,000; the Renewal Sign Location Lease with Lamar in the amount of $2,250 annual rent; and an Audit Engagement Letter with Baker Tilly in the amount of $11,500 to be paid by White Deer Golf Course for the Lycoming County Recreation Authority.

In other matters, the commissioners voted to extend an agreement with Larson Design Group to Dec. 31 for small bridge inspection.

They also approved: an agreement with Comcast Internet to provide service to the office of District Judge Christian Frey; an agreement with Clarke Gallagher Barbiero Amuso Glassman Law to act as solicitor; an updated pay schedule for Election Day Poll Workers to take effect on Jan. 1, 2026; a one-year agreement with Dell for software support for the Solomon System; payment to Cleveland Brothers in the amount of $32,087 for repairs; an amendment to an agreement with Kroff Chemical Company extending the agreement to Dec. 31, 2029; an agreement with Penn Power Group for engine work; an amendment to the agreement with AMCS Group Inc. for PC support; an agreement with Advanced Communications Solutions for video surveillance at the prison and pre-release center; the retail advertising agreement with the Sun-Gazette for the placing of legal notices; a referral agreement with Crossroads Counseling Inc.; and the renewal application with Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool.
