Couple reaches 50-year milestone

David and Maureen (Flannery) Taylor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27. The high school sweethearts were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Montoursville.
They are both graduates (Class of 1970) from Montoursville Area High School.
David’s parents are the late Harold and Cella (Chamberlin) Taylor. David is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Alcan/General Cable after 30 years of service and from a part-time job at Lycoming Burial Vault, also 30 years.
Maureen’s parents are the late John and Rosemarie (Fantaskey) Flannery. She retired from Montoursville Area School District after 27 years in food service.
They are the proud parents of Daniel (deceased), Matthew (Vanessa) Taylor and Karen (Jon) Rauscher of Vermont. They are blessed with five grandchildren: Jackson, Rosemarie, Liam, Thomas and Brianna.
They enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas in September. They will have a family celebration after Christmas.
