John and Ginny (Gibbs) Metzger of Linden celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2024. They were married in 1974 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Williamsport. They live in Linden.

They have five children: John Jr. (Cathy) of Winter Haven, Florida; Sheila Houghton (Steve) of Hedgesville, West Virginia; Kurren (Abby) of South Williamsport; Paul (Michelle) of Linden and Travis (Danielle) of Linden. They have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Ginny is the daughter of the late Arthur and Isabelle Gibbs of Cogan Station. John is the son of Florence and the late Jack Metzger of Williamsport. Ginny retired as a cook and homemaker. John retired from the Central PA Food Bank as a truck driver. He spent many years working in the concrete construction industry.

They are renewing their wedding vows at the Woodward Township Fire Hall on December 21, 2024. Also, they are going on a Caribbean cruise in April with family.
