Lyco women’s tennis picked ninth in Landmark preseason poll
The Lycoming College women’s tennis team tied for ninth in the Landmark Conference 2025 women’s tennis preseason coaches’ poll, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Lycoming College secured 18 points in the Landmark Conference preseason poll, tying Elizabethtown for ninth place.
At the top of the poll, Moravian earned 76 points and was followed closely by Drew University with 75 points. Scranton (60), Goucher (59) and Catholic (52) all secured over 50 points in the top half of the poll. Wilkes (32), Susquehanna (30), Juniata (30), Elizabethtown (18) and Lycoming (18) rounded out the poll.
The Warrior women finished the 2023-24 season 4-13 overall and 2-7 in the Landmark Conference under third-year head coach Joel Reid. This fall, the Warriors finished with a 7-2 record.
First-year Sadie Stahl – a South Williamsport graduate – posted a 10-2 mark playing out of the No. 4 singles slot and senior Sarah Lanphear notched a 7-3 mark at No. 3 singles. Senior Rei Saar – a Montoursville graduate – and junior Emma Kelchner – a Central Columbia graduate – have combined for a 7-1 mark at No. 1 doubles and Stahl and Lanphear are also 7-1.
The Warriors travel to Towson, Md., on Saturday, March 22, for Landmark Conference action against Goucher at 1 p.m.
